Debra Barr is the partner in charge of professional practice at SF Partnership, LLP.
With over a decade of experience in the area of professional practice, Debra is responsible for interpreting and monitoring professional standards related to accounting and assurance, as well as standards regarding ethics, professional conduct and quality control. She is Chair of the Firm’s Quality Control Committee, performs quality control reviews of financial statements and files, performs technical research, and teaches various technical courses.
Debra is currently serving as a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants’ Professional Engagement Manual/Quality Assurance Manual Editorial Advisory Group and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario’s (ICAO) Practice Inspection Committee. She was previously an Associate Director at the ICAO where she was a practice advisor (and as such attended meetings of the ICAO’s Professional Conduct Committee) and was responsible for all of the professional development courses offered by the ICAO to chartered accountants in public practice. |
